Uppsala

Uppsala is an important city is Sweden whose location is in the south east, close to Stockholm. I have to say that our SL cards didn't work for getting there, even though we jumped on a train going to Uppsala hoping to get there with no problem, but as soon as the revisionist came to check our tickets he told us that we had to buy another ticket. Not only to get there, also for moving around there because our cards wouldn't work.

In Uppsala you can find the oldest university in Sweden, founded in 1477. This city has a small city for the university students. It was quite big for being an universitary city, even thoug the university isn't very big, but it should be quite enjoyable to live there and have everything you need just two steps away from you. We confused a Ronald McDonnald foundation there with a real McDonnald's because we were very hungry, but we weren't lucky.

There's a gigantic castle in Uppsala built in the 16thg century which I found very beautiful but useless. It's the ressidence of the Country Governor and it has a museum inside, and a weard one by the way. It was about tolerance, and it was very good, but a little bit creepy because of all the pictures.

You can also visit a cathedral there. One of the biggest cathedrals in Sweden. It's the highest one, as it measures 118'7 metres high. It's main purpose was being a catolic cathedral and the see of coronations for swedish monarchs. Since the Protestant Reformation it's being controlled by the Lutheran Church of Sweden.
As you can see below, it's inside is charming and very decorated. I personally do not like churches, and I get bored while visiting them, but I found this one interesting and very good looking vor being a cathedral.
