Naturhistoriska riksmuseet (Museo de historia natural)

The Swedish Museum of Natural History is one of the biggest natural history museums in Sweden.

It was founded in 1819 by the Royal Swedish Academy of Science. Most of the colections you can find inside the museum were donated by this academy since it's fundation in 1739, and they've been made able to the public in 1786.

Inside the museum you can find lots of collections, such as birds, marine fauna, extint animal... The one that I enjoyed best was the exposition of the evolution of the human being with skelletons of our antecedents. There are also some interactive information points where the little ones can learn natural history in a fun way. The explanatory videos in every room were quite enjoyable also, they weren't boring at all.

The best part of this museum is that it offers the chance to go to a 3D cinema called Cosmonova, where you get to see some National Geographic documentaries proyected in a dome for some more money. You have to look up all the time or you'll probably miss something importan. I must admit that the 3D effects were simply incredible. I saw a documentary about the universe in which they revealed the worst climate in the solar system.
